WJEC Eduqas's GCSE Spanish is a linear four-component qualification. The speaking test is a non-examination assessment (NEA) conducted by your teacher in the spring term, while listening, reading and writing are examined in May/June. Content is organised around five broad themes.

Learners must know 1,200 lexical items at Foundation tier and a further 500 at Higher tier (1,700 in total).
